Chongqing — Intelligent Fuxing electric multiple unit (EMU) trains ran for the first time on the Chengdu–Chongqing High-speed Railway on June 25 when the nationwide railway network starts to carry out the third quarter train operation diagram.
At 6:52 on June 25, the G8602 Intelligent Fuxing EMU exited the platform, marking the official operation of Intelligent Fuxing EMU between Chengdu and Chongqing.

"After optimization, the intelligent Fuxing EMU trains have further improved the level of intelligent operation and maintenance through nine systems such as Ethernet-based train control and vehicle-mounted safety monitoring." Song Xiaolong, a Chongqing West High-speed Train Operation Station technician, said that in case of fire, smoke, overloading, door abnormalities, and passengers triggering the emergency button, the video links in a car enable workers to confirm an alarm and deal with a malfunction quickly. This not only reduces further risk but also enhances the handling efficiency on an in-transit train.

Zhong Lingyu, an EMU train driver of Chongqing Locomotive Depot, said that like the HHC (hill hold control) that prevents vehicles from rolling backward unintentionally, the new high acceleration model could make the intelligent EMU trains within the maximum passenger capacity start safely and stably on a ramp of 20‰.
"This train is more beautiful, smarter, and very comfortable. It is very similar to an aircraft business class." Mr. Zhong, who bought a business seat ticket, told the reporter.
When you walk into a car, there is an obvious color change. Along with the warm white lighting, the newly added blue ambient lighting feels cozier.
A 29-inch widescreen TV set at the top of the car can show information about train movements and entertainment programs on the left and right screen respectively at the same time. A USB charging interface is added on the backrest of second-class seats for the convenience of passengers to use or charge mobile phones. A water cup can be placed more stably in the deeper cup holder on the tray table.

On the new vending machine at the No. 5 dining car, passengers can purchase fruits, drinks, snacks, and so on.
In addition, a handle added to the backrest of each seat displays the seat number so that it is easy for passengers to take their own seats. All the seats are optimized to make passengers feel more comfortable.
According to the arrangements of the third quarter train operation diagram, 30.5 pairs of CR400AF Fuxing EMU trains will be put on the route between Chengdu and Chongqing. Among them, four pairs of intelligent Fuxing EMU trains will run for the first time in southwest China, and the fastest one, G8622 only takes 62 minutes to run from Chongqing to Chengdu.
