New energy vehicles, new-generation information technology, healthcare, and major infrastructure construction are among the fields of investment.
In this batch of investment projects, the IDC Project of the Western (Chongqing) Science City will install 144 super-high-density liquid-cooled racks and 208 air-cooled racks.
Once completed, it can provide 9,720 general computing nodes and 1,800 intelligent computing nodes based on 1,760 homemade high-performance computing accelerator cards.
It can also provide 723,000 homemade high-performance X86 cores.
Moreover, it could become a national integrated big data center hub in Sichuan and Chongqing.
The project of global headquarters for R&D and industrialization of high-performance graphics processing units (GPU) as a part of the National Advanced Computing Industry Innovation Center (Chongqing) Project will be completed in three years.
Once completed, it will develop two GPU products in two or three years. Notably, the two GPU products should be on a par with the like products in the world in terms of performance.
The same day, China's first Software-Defined Hardware (SDH) System on a Chip (SoC) chip design project, SDH SoC chip R&D design and headquarters company was also launched.
The project mainly focuses on the R&D and design of SDH SoC chips and provides modules and turnkey system solutions.
Now, the project has passed the review of the Chinese Academy of Science's Hongguang Special Projects and the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Moreover, the brain-inspired computing chip R&D project will realize the large-scale production of brain-computer signal computing chips up to the highest industry standard once completed.
The photoresist and supporting the material project will focus on the R&D and production of key photoetching materials used in high-end panel display, integrated circuit packaging, flexible display, and Micro LED.
It will provide supporting products for JD.com, Inc., China Star Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., and other industry giants.
The launch of these projects will contribute to two industrial clusters of the new-generation information technology and new energy automated vehicles in the Bishan District. These projects will promote high-level construction and high-quality development of the Bishan Area of the Western (Chongqing) Science City.
