Chongqing - A joint signing ceremony was held at Sichuan International Studies University (SISU) on March 14 to establish the Talents Cultivating Base for Senior Interpreters and Translators of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle. The program aims to cultivate top talents in interpretation and translation, international communication, and foreign languages through joint efforts by the university, governments, enterprises, and associations of interpreters and translators.
Zhu Chaowei, Vice President of SISU, stated that in the future, employers can offer their employment needs, and SISU will create cultivation plans based on their needs. SISU will tailor its education plans to meet the needs of society, while government departments, enterprises, and organizations will provide students with practical opportunities.

As the only foreign language university in Southwest China that cultivates professionally competent and highly adaptive top talents in interpretation and translation, SISU will leverage its professional advantages, deepen cooperation among the university, enterprises, and industries, and explore a cultivation mode jointly participated in by academic, vocational, and industrial tutors.
The cooperative agreement was signed among seven organizations and enterprises, including SISU, Chongqing International Communication Center, Chongqing Publishing Group, the Western and Central China Branch, Academy of Translation and Interpretation, China International Communications Group, and Sichuan Lan-bridge Information Technology Co., Ltd.
