Chongqing - "The launching point of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor (ILSTC) is optimally positioned to pioneer new trade avenues to the western and southwestern regions of China, establishing connections with ASEAN, Central Asia, and extending to Europe," said Eric Chan, the Head of Corporate Development at YCH Group.
YCH Group, Singapore's most substantial locally founded supply chain solutions firm, is a key regional supply chain management partner for many of the Asia Pacific's top global brands.
Chan emphasized that the ILSTC serves as an essential connector, establishing robust ties between ASEAN countries and China, bolstering the dependability of the logistics network, and promoting higher levels of trade digitization and transparency.

YCH is engineering a network of advanced infrastructures, known as SuperPort™️, throughout the ASEAN countries. The SuperPort™️ operates as a multimodal logistics hub and is the backbone of the ASEAN smart logistics network.
Located in Vinh Phuc province, Vietnam, this inland container terminal is slated to be a significant linking node between western China and Southeast Asia. This undertaking has considerable potential to improve trade and logistics linkages between China and ASEAN.
Augmenting the potential of existing infrastructure, the SuperPort™️ is a state-of-the-art multimodal transport logistics hub comprising an inclusive dry port and advanced supply chain center. The project's foundation is built on four primary pillars: connectivity, sustainability, scalability, and agility.
"The first SuperPort™️ has been set up in Vietnam's Vinh Phuc province, with a second one currently being constructed in Cambodia. Furthermore, plans are being drawn to build additional SuperPorts™️ in Indonesia and other ASEAN countries," Chan added.
Furthermore, the SuperPort™️ will offer railway, trucking, sea freight, and airfreight consolidation services. This all-encompassing approach allows clients with various logistics needs to converge at a single hub and utilize the most efficient and effective modes of goods transportation.
For cross-border trade, track and trace visibility and trust-based certification are crucial developments. "At YCH, we employ a robust control tower software that allows clients to oversee the movement of goods across countries, providing them with crucial control and essential information," Chan explained.
"Our goal is to achieve visibility from the client's factory or raw material suppliers all the way to end consumers," Chan mentioned. According to him, a visibility platform capable of consolidating data from various sources across countries is critical in facilitating trade.
Additionally, establishing a trust-based certification system across all countries is crucial. This system ensures that customs documentation, bills of lading, and financing documents are universally accepted, correctly authenticated, and tamper-proof. This progress will serve as a significant pillar for cross-border trade technologies.
In agreement with the Chongqing Municipal Government, YCH Group plans to establish an ASEAN logistics center in China, further cementing logistics links between China and ASEAN.
The China-Singapore Multimodal Transport Demonstration Base, a joint venture between Singapore and Chongqing in the Liangjiang New Area, serves as an ideal model. This project aids the ILSTC's development and encourages increased collaboration between logistics firms in Chongqing and Singapore.
