This innovative vehicle, produced in Chongqing, hits the market with a compelling starting price of 139,900 yuan (USD 19,434). It is available in three unique versions, spanning eight models, with prices reaching 216,900 RMB.
Hunter is Changan's answer to the rising global demand for sustainable and versatile transportation. It delivers the optimal pickup truck solution for various scenarios using advanced technology in new energy, intelligent systems, and design.

The industry's first super range extender, driven by the Blue Whale 2.0T engine and the R100G generator, is central to Changan Hunter's innovations. This achieves maximum efficiency of 97%, overcoming power deficits in scenarios with heavy loads or steep inclines. Delivering a robust 30kW at 1,750rpm doubles the standard industry power generation at the same speed.
Furthermore, Changan Hunter boasts charging capabilities, able to charge from 8% to 20% in under ten minutes. This significantly surpasses typical plug-in hybrids and other extended-range vehicles in charging speed.
The vehicle introduces industry-first dual circuit safe charging and discharging technology, enabling power generation of 20kW at idle. The Hunter's 220V double-plug design and high-power discharge panel achieve a maximum power output of 227kW-h, ensuring it can sustain the demands of prolonged outdoor work and leisure activities.

Safety is paramount, and Changan Hunter addresses this with its "Jinzhongzhao" battery, which utilizes military-grade insulation materials to enhance safety and durability significantly. This innovation ensures the battery can operate without pre-heating in icy conditions.
Zhu Huarong, chairman of Changan Automobile, emphasized the strategic importance of the pickup truck in the company's global expansion plans. The Hunter is a key component of a broader initiative, including the launch of four global products and an enhanced collaboration with Stellantis, a leading multinational automaker. This partnership focuses on co-developing a pickup product platform to expedite Changan's market presence in ASEAN, Australia, New Zealand, the Americas, the Middle East, and Africa.
Changan aims to be among the top five global leaders in the pickup truck segment by targeting 500,000 sales worldwide by 2030, said Zhu.
