"We are operating in the Kuwait market," said Salem Almutawa, a car dealer from Kuwait. "Changan has proven to be the car that the customer could rely on." In hot climates like Kuwait, cars have specific requirements, yet an average of 4,000 units are still sold each year.
Almutawa added that Kuwait may be small, but it has a significant number of Changan cars here—around 30,000—and local customers appreciate them a lot.
"Last year, Changan ranked the top brand among all the car brands in Jordan," said Avdul Baset Mallaouk, a Jordanian car dealer. Changan has already launched two models in Jordan, the E-star Benben and Eado EV, and plans to introduce the Deepal SL03 and S7 soon.
Changan Automobile's new factory is specifically dedicated to producing electric vehicles and is designed as a "green factory." It features 260,000 square meters of photovoltaic panels and an energy storage station on the rooftop, providing about 20% of the factory's total electricity needs.
A standout feature of Changan's new factory is its virtual counterpart, which mirrors every new energy vehicle production stage. Cloud technology seamlessly integrates the entire manufacturing process, with display panels in the workshop offering real-time production data and line control.
Launched in January 2023 with a 10 billion yuan (USD 1.39 billion) investment over 1,159 acres, this factory will produce advanced digital intelligence New Energy Vehicles like QiYuan E07 and Avita E15.
