During the one-year-old catch game (which is a tradition with a long history in China) , where items are placed for the panda to choose from, Mang Cancan showed a particular fondness for a small backpack among various items like a small basket, gold ingot, golden rice bowl, basketball, yellow duck, and toy car. Visitors praised Mang Cancan, predicting it might become a future scholar in the panda world.
Mang Cancan, a male panda born on July 6th last year, is the fifth offspring of Chongqing Zoo’s panda Mang Zai, also known as “Xiaowu”.
