Chongqing - Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area unveiled 10 data factor industry application scenarios in manufacturing, artificial intelligence, finance, and more, with a total investment of 1.38 billion yuan (190 million U.S. dollars).
The ten scenarios feature cutting-edge applications such as a domestic software-hardware integrated platform for future factories, a simulation platform for evaluating new energy power systems, and an intelligent computing service platform, among other innovative data applications.
In the financial services sector, Mashang Consumer Finance will spearhead the development of a data circulation service platform using privacy computing. This platform will leverage privacy computing and blockchain technologies to offer data monitoring, scheduling, application analysis, and digital resource registration features.
MIT Technology Review recently ranked Mashang Consumer Finance, a tech-driven financial institution with over 1,000 self-developed core systems, in the top 10 for patent innovation in large models.
Liangjiang New Area has recently released an action plan to advance the data factor industry. According to the plan, the area will establish a model zone for data application scenarios, a core hub for data circulation and trading, and a pilot zone for cross-border data exchange.
The action plan outlines that by 2027, Liangjiang aims to reach a 400-billion-yuan scale in the data factor industry, host 100 key enterprises, develop more than ten high-quality datasets, generate over 100 innovative application scenarios, and achieve a total transaction volume exceeding 3 billion yuan. Additionally, the new area will advance a data factor market system.
Liangjiang New Area, a state-level economic zone in Chongqing, China, was established in 2010.
