Chongqing - Chongqing Hub Port Industrial Park hosts 45 material enterprises above the designed size. In the year's first half, these enterprises achieved an output value of 10.39 billion yuan (USD 1.45 billion), a 3.6% year-on-year increase.
Located in Chongqing's Jiangjin District, Chongqing Hub Port Industrial Park is a key player in the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor (ILSTC), specializing in non-ferrous metal processing, green pipes, and new cables.
One standout enterprise is Chongqing Shengyu New Materials Co., Ltd., a major private company known for shearing, processing, and distributing various metal materials.
Shengyu New Materials is enhancing its production by manufacturing "fine and small" steel and aluminum plates, serving major tech giants like Samsung, Apple, Asus, Huawei, and Xiaomi.
"Our advanced production line operations ensure that the precision of products processed diagonally by the automatic leveling line can reach ±0.05 millimeters, a leading standard in China," said the person in charge at Shengyu New Material. The company anticipates a 30% increase in output value this year.
The park's strategy of fostering a synergistic innovation complex is key to its success. "By playing a leading enterprise role and creating a synergistic innovation complex for large enterprises with small enterprises, we accelerate the high-quality development of the materials industry," explained the park's official spokesperson. The focus has been on cultivating dominant enterprises with core competitiveness and advancing the industry towards high-end, digital, intelligent, and green practices.
Jintian Copper exemplifies the park's success, leading China's copper processing sector with an annual output value consistently exceeding five billion yuan.
This achievement is due to ongoing technological advancements and the park's robust industrial chain, which includes key companies like Hailiang Copper and Chongqing Sanxia Cable Technology. A representative from Jintian Copper shared that 90% of its copper comes from Jintian.
Innovative recycling initiatives are integral to the park's strategy. For example, Taishan Gypsum (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. converts industrial waste into building materials, using by-product gypsum to produce various construction materials.
"We process about 200,000 tons of desulfurization gypsum annually, significantly reducing pollution and sulfur dioxide emissions from upstream industries," stated a spokesperson from Taishan Gypsum, which has recently invested 7.8 million yuan in upgrading its production equipment.
Chongqing Hub Port Industrial Park has established a comprehensive recycling system for packaging paper, plate, steel, aluminum, and plastic. This system creates a closed loop, turning raw materials into waste and back into renewable resources, showcasing the park's commitment to sustainable development.
"By encouraging technological transformation and the construction of intelligent factories and digital workshops, we reduce energy waste and cost, making green a hallmark of our industry's high-quality development," concluded the park's representative.
