Chongqing - The 22nd China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition (CIMAMotor) will be held from September 13 to 16 at the Chongqing International Expo Center.
As China's only national motorcycle expo, it will feature leading manufacturers across 160,000 square meters, showcase domestic innovations, and promote global exchanges.
This year's CIMAMotor will host a record 877 exhibitors, including more than 70 renowned international brands from the U.S., Italy, Germany, Japan, and beyond.
Additionally, the event has attracted over 300 companies from Russia, Brazil, Malaysia, and other countries, offering new opportunities for China's motorcycle industry to expand into global markets.
According to Yang Xuchao, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Chongqing Committee, more than 3,000 models will be showcased, including cruisers, sports bikes, off-road vehicles, and electric motorcycles.
More than 30 product launches and test drive events are planned, with major manufacturers like Honda, Zongshen, and QJMotor unveiling over 50 new models, including traditional and electric motorcycles. As China's motorcycle industry grows globally, CIMAMotor serves as a key platform for international product launches.
CIMAMotor boosts Chongqing's product development and manufacturing, strengthening its role in the global supply chain and advancing smart manufacturing. It supports the city's goal of building a 100-billion-yuan motorcycle industry cluster and attracts international investment.
As Chongqing continues to establish itself on the global stage, comparisons with the world’s largest motorcycle show, Esposizione Internazionale del Ciclo, Motociclo, Accessori S.p.A. (EICMA) in Milan, are inevitable. While EICMA boasts an 80-year history, CIMAMotor has rapidly grown in prominence in just 22 years.
With the continuous development of China's manufacturing sector and the deepening of international cooperation, CIMAMotor is well on its way to becoming a globally recognized platform.
Yang mentioned that during a conversation with the Secretary-General of the Chamber of Commerce for Motorcycle last year, the Secretary-General stated that CIMAMotor has consistently attracted larger professional audiences than even EICMA.
He emphasized that the event's fusion of local culture and integration with Chongqing's tourism and cultural promotions gives CIMAMotor a unique edge.
Although EICMA's long history and a higher level of internationalization are significant advantages, CIMAMotor's growing global reputation and cultural richness are establishing it as a major player in the international motorcycle exhibition scene.
