Adventure with Ed Stafford in Chongqing's Jindao Canyon

Chongqing - On September 9, the product debut event for the 2024 International Adventure Mountain Carnival in Chongqing-Jindaoxia with Ed Stafford and his Adventures Program and Wild Challenge was held in Chongqing.

Edward James Stafford, a renowned English explorer and survivalist known for his Guinness World Record as the first person to walk the length of the Amazon River, will headline the event. Affectionately known as "De Ye" by his Chinese fans, Ed Stafford has brought his thrilling challenges to China in Season 2 of First Man Out of China. Stafford's adventures have explored diverse terrains, from the rugged mountains of Shaanxi to the unique natural landscapes of Gansu, Sichuan, Yunnan, and Guangdong. "His upcoming challenge in Chongqing promises to be an exhilarating experience," said the adventure program manager.

The event will occur from October 2-4 at Jindaoxia Scenic Area in Chongqing. The scenic area, located in the northeastern part of Beibei District at an elevation of 1,316 meters, is renowned for its pristine and mystical canyon landscapes. It offers numerous attractions for adventure, climbing, and water activities, making it an ideal destination for vacationing, summer retreats, and reconnecting with nature.

The Jindaoxia tourism ambassador introduced the area's outdoor micro-adventure projects during the event. 

Ed Stafford's project leader detailed the adventure camp, including the format, registration process, schedule, and awards for the wilderness survival challenge. Additionally, YOO+ Outdoor Explore Together's founder showcased various carnival activities, such as the Mountain Imaging Festival, pet-friendly outdoor adventures, and the BC Camping Lifestyle Festival.
