On September 10, the 1st Session of the 1st Member Congress of the Special Committee on Transport and New Energy of Chongqing Council for Brand Development & the Inaugural Meeting of the Working Committee for Transport and New Energy of the Trade and Economic Multifunctional Platform for SCO Countries was held in Chongqing Liangjiang International Cooperation Center.

The Member Congress deliberated and approved the Working Rules of the Special Committee for Transport and New Energy of Chongqing Council for Brand Development (Draft), the Election Measures for the 1st Member Congress of the Special Committee for Transport and New Energy of Chongqing Council for Brand Development (Draft) and relevant systems and regulations, and elected the first Council. Yang Xiaomu, Chairman of Wanwei Transportation Development (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., was elected as the President of the first Council. Director General Hu Kaiqiang unveiled the plaque of the Working Committee for Transport and New Energy of the Trade and Economic Multifunctional Platform for SCO Countries.
In the inauguration speech, Yang Xiaomu said that energy cooperation is a key area of the Belt and Road cooperation. With the goal of optimizing structure, adjusting industries, promoting green energy cooperation projects with high quality and actively participating in global energy governance cooperation, the Working Committee will firmly pursue a mutually beneficial and win-win opening strategy, strengthen green and low-carbon energy cooperation with relevant SCO countries, consolidate and expand channels for energy trade cooperation, strengthen the linkage of investment and development, engineering construction, equipment manufacturing, consulting design and financial services, and deeply participate in energy projects in relevant SCO countries, so as to complete a number of green energy practice projects with good economic benefits and strong demonstration effect as soon as possible, promote the upgrading of transport and new energy industry in relevant SCO countries, expand international trade volume of transport and new energy among relevant SCO countries, and continuously enhance the competitiveness of China's transport and new energy enterprises in the international market.
Tan Jingheng said that with the rapid progress of science and technology, the transport and new energy industry is undergoing unprecedented changes, bringing unprecedented opportunities for global economic development and environmental governance. The establishment of the Working Committee for Transport and New Energy has built a bridge for Chinese enterprises to participate in global scientific and technological innovation and expand international markets, which is conducive to promoting transnational technical cooperation, policy coordination and market docking of transport and new energy in the region and has laid a foundation for SCO countries' enterprises in this field to jointly embrace a new round of industrial revolution and seize new opportunities for industrial international cooperation.
Hu Kaiqiang pointed out that the world is currently undergoing profound changes unseen in a century, and the reconstruction of global industrial chain and supply chain has brought new market opportunities. Promoting mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of transportation and further boosting cooperation in energy security have become an important consensus reached by the heads of SCO member countries. It will bring broad space for the Working Committee to carry out high-level international cooperation and achieve high-quality development in transportation, new energy and other related industries. He encouraged the Working Committee to hold high the banner of "Shanghai Spirit", adhere to the principles of open cooperation, mutual benefit and win-win results, strengthen cooperation and co-construction in the field of transport and new energy, jointly explore more application scenarios, promote the transformation of industrial technological achievements into real productivity, plan and promote the construction of an international collaborative innovation ecosystem of SCO countries' industries in the grand blueprint of "building a community with a shared future for mankind", boost the high-quality development of transport and new energy in SCO countries through Chinese-style innovation, and play a greater role in promoting the global redistribution of productivity.
During the conference, the Trade and Economic Multifunctional Platform for SCO Countries signed a memorandum of cooperation with Shanghai Equity Investment Fund Management Co., Ltd. of Transport Communications and Information Group of the Ministry of Transport, and the Working Committee for Transport and New Energy signed a memorandum of cooperation with Financial Holding Group of Taizhou, laying a solid foundation for empowering innovative development in domestic and foreign transport and new energy scientific and technological innovation, technology research and development, financial investment and other fields.
