Chongqing - The highly anticipated 2024 9th China (Chongqing) International Hot Pot Industry Expo opened on October 25 at the Yue Lai International Conference Center, celebrating the booming hot pot industry. Themed "Eco-Friendly Experiences, A Carnival for the Industry," the expo brought together over 2,000 companies from across the hot pot supply chain, with more than 60,000 products on display across a vast 120,000㎡ exhibition area.
As Chongqing cements its reputation as the "Capital of Chinese Hot Pot," this year's event is an important platform for promoting the city's hot pot culture and innovations in the industry. Featuring a range of events, including the Hot Pot Cultural Dinner and Chongqing Hot Pot Heritage Ceremony, the expo not only highlights Chongqing's rich culinary heritage but also fosters cross-industry collaborations. The event is expected to attract more than 120,000 professional visitors nationwide.
This year's key focus is the growing integration of technology and sustainability into the food processing sector. The 2024 China Hot Pot Industry Innovation Conference, held in conjunction with the expo, aimed to promote eco-friendly practices and cutting-edge innovations in food production.
Among the most popular exhibitors, Xintian (Chongqing) Food Technology Co., Ltd. stood out with its extensive product line of hot pot oil dipping sauces and sesame paste. At the Xintian booth, visitors were treated to interactive demonstrations showcasing products in multiple packaging formats. The company's sesame paste, known for its rich aroma and smooth texture, became a crowd favorite. Wang Cheng, Chairman of Xintian, emphasized the company's leadership in the industry, stating, "At present, Xintian's hot pot dipping sauces serve 21,000 hot pot brands, with over 200,000 hot pot restaurants across China. We now hold more than 65% market share among national hot pot chains, and our products are exported to countries such as the U.S., U.K., France, Italy, and the UAE."
In addition to showcasing new products and technologies, the expo facilitated significant business deals, including signing 13 strategic cooperation agreements totaling over 19.7 billion yuan in investments. These projects cover key industries like grain and oil processing, meat and dairy, and hot pot ingredients, underscoring Chongqing's drive to become a global leader in the hot pot industry.
With its blend of tradition, innovation, and international influence, the 2024 Chongqing Hot Pot Expo demonstrates the hot pot industry's vibrant future and the city's ambition to be the world's undisputed hot pot capital.
