Centered around classic animation IPs, a 5,000-meter-long "animation avenue" has been created nearby the Yuquan Lake Park, offering a splendid and immersive experience.
Launch of the event
Co-sponsored by the China International Television Corporation, China Animation Association, Chongqing Broadcasting Group, and People's Government of Bishan District, the event aims to promote excellent classic works that reflect the essence of Chinese culture since the founding of the People's Republic of China and review the development course and brilliant achievements of China's animation industry. With a planned area of about 1,100 square meters, the theme exhibition is divided into six chapters: Prologue, Continuing Inheritance, Diversified Development, Fruitful Achievements, Smart Future and Conclusion. Through precious collections such as original painting manuscripts, classic landmark landscapes such as three-dimensional sculptures, jungle light show, IP four-dimensional space and other forms, more than 100 classic Chinese animation images and works have been wonderfully reproduced.
In addition to the theme exhibition, the whole event with a moving line up to four kilometers long also includes the landmark landscape, animation avenue, interesting interactive space, water screen movie, and other contents. The excellent classic animations exhibited include works with distinctive characteristics of "Chinese animation school" such as The Proud General and The Monkey King: Uproar in Heaven, animations closely following the theme of the times such as Legend of the Silk Road and Tracks in the Snowy Forest, film masterpieces that embody the essence of Chinese culture and enjoy market popularity such as Ne Zha and Chang'an, as well as high-quality animation works spreading Chinese culture overseas such as Hehe the Panda series and Scissor Seven. These works have fully demonstrated the heritage and brilliance of China's animation industry that has kept abreast of the times.
