On December 12, the press conference for the 15th Fairy Mountain Ice and Snow Season 2024 of Wulong District was held at the Press Conference Hall of Wulong Media Center. 

The 15th Fairy Mountain Ice and Snow Season 2024 will commence on December 21, 2024, and will last until February 28, 2025. During this period, tourists can experience the unique charm of six themed activities in Wulong, including a cosplay skiing event, an ice and snow fairy parade, a snow trekking challenge, an ice and snow fashion show, a Fairy Mountain snow sports meeting, and a parent-child skiing competition. Additionally, tourists can participate in online interactions and have the chance to get gifts through a short video competition and eight lucky draws. To enhance online promotion, influencers with over 5,000 followers on Douyin and over 1,000 followers on Xiaohongshu can enjoy free admission to the Fairy Mountain scenic area during the Ice and Snow Season.

To provide tourists with an extraordinary ice and snow experience, Wulong has launched four themed ice and snow routes: "Snow Wonderland at Fairy Mountain", "Fun at Fairy Mountain · Enjoying Ice and Snow", "Free Travel for Playing with Snow at Fairy Mountain", and "Go to Fairy Mountain to Play with Snow". These themed routes allow tourists to appreciate the unique snowy scenery of southern China while experiencing Wulong's intangible cultural heritage, delicious food, and other cultural elements.

To ensure that tourists can have fun and rest assured, the scenic area in Wulong has planned for the 15th Fairy Mountain Ice and Snow Season 2024 in advance with meticulous layout and deployment. It has not only prepared diversified ice and snow activities but also formulated a series of comprehensive safeguard measures. The scenic area has established a professional snow and ice removal team of over 30 members. The team is equipped with 10 snow removers, three salt spreaders, and one salt truck, along with over 1,000 tons of industrial salt. With ample personnel, equipment, and material support, the team is on duty 24 hours a day to ensure the safety and smoothness of roads in the scenic area.

In the future, Wulong will focus on upgrading ice and snow tourism facilities, diversifying ice and snow tourism products, and developing ice and snow tourism equipment, all aimed at improving tourists' experience in winter sports. It plans to introduce social capital and invest RMB 8 billion to build a new ski resort at Fairy Mountain, which will include 23 ski tracks, five magic carpets, five cable cars, and supporting facilities such as a ski service hall, an ice and snow resort hotel complex, and parking lots, with a daily capacity of 5,200 tourists.

After 14 years of brand development, the Fairy Mountain Ice and Snow Season has become a leading event in winter tourism and sports in southwestern China, turning the Fairy Mountain scenic area into a dazzling highlight of winter tourism in Chongqing.
