Chongqing - On February 11, the "Tell the World about Chongqing · Jinfo Mountain International Cultural and Tourism Exchange Event" was held in Nanchuan District, Chongqing.
Over 60 attendees attended, including consular officers from the British, Japanese, Filipino, Hungarian, Italian, Canadian, Cambodian, Belarusian, and Myanmar consulates in Chongqing, Chinese staff, foreign students, local government officials, media representatives, and social media influencers.

The event aimed to showcase Nanchuan's rich cultural and tourism resources and unique folk traditions through firsthand experiences by foreign consuls and distinguished guests.
The day began at 10 a.m. with a visit to the Jinfo Mountain Scenic Area, where guests enjoyed skiing and marveled at the winter wonderland.

In the afternoon, the group traveled to Lanlan Valley Homestay in Nanping Town for the main event, "Nanchuan Invites You to Taste Pork Soup," a traditional local feast.
At Lanlan Valley homestay, attendees participated in a tourism resource presentation, gaining deeper insights into Nanchuan's cultural and natural attractions through vivid explanations, photos, and videos. This was followed by the 2025 Chongqing Consular Staff Work Symposium, where representatives discussed strengthening international cultural and tourism exchanges and promoting local economic development.

In the intangible cultural heritage experience zone, participants tried their hand at paper-cutting, dough sculpting, and other activities. The traditional New Year scene area offered activities like brewing tea by the stove, writing Spring Festival couplets, and solving lantern riddles, immersing everyone in the festive atmosphere.

Thwin Htet Lin, Consul General of Myanmar in Chongqing, shared, "I am very happy to participate in this event and bring my family to experience Nanchuan's unique tourism resources."

Giuseppe Lagana, Commercial Division Chief at the Consulate of Italy in Chongqing, said, "Today's experience was fantastic. I thank both the Chongqing and Nanchuan governments for providing such a wonderful opportunity. Nanchuan's tourism has great potential because of its beautiful natural scenery and well-established infrastructure. I believe tourism in Nanchuan will develop very positively in the future." He also highlighted the Italian Consulate's decade-long efforts in promoting cultural and tourism exchanges in Southwest China.

The evening culminated in a bonfire party, where guests gathered around the fire, enjoyed traditional music and dance performances, and set off fireworks that lit up the winter sky.

The event not only deepened foreign consuls' and guests' understanding of Nanchuan's cultural and tourism resources but also strengthened international cooperation in cultural and tourism exchanges. The Nanchuan District Government pledged to continue developing and promoting its tourism resources, aiming to establish Nanchuan as a globally recognized cultural and tourism destination.
