Chongqing - On the afternoon of March 21 (local time), Changan Auto hosted its 2025 Europe Brand Event in Germany. Zhu Huarong, Chairman of Changan Auto, revealed that the company plans to introduce its Changan, Deepal, and Avatr brands to Europe over the next three years, launching eight models in total.

Zhu outlined Changan Auto’s product rollout plan in Europe during the event. The first model, Deepal S07, will be available to European consumers in Q2 2025 in both BEV and PHEV versions, followed by the Avatr 07.
Changan Auto is also focused on local product development in Europe. Zhu announced plans to open over 1,000 sales and service outlets and hire more than 1,000 local employees across the continent. The company will also introduce its global user brand, "withU," to improve service for European customers.
Klaus Zyciora, Changan Auto's vice president, emphasized that Changan Auto will expand into at least ten European regional markets by the end of 2025, including Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK.
Further details show that Changan Auto has signed its first distribution agreement in Norway with Motor Gruppen. Dealerships are scheduled to open in Q2 2025.
Changan will run its own national sales companies in Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK. The brand has already opened its first dealership in Germany, and in the UK, up to 60 showrooms are planned by the end of 2025.
To support its market operations, Changan Auto has signed Memorandums of Understanding with Switzerland-based Kuehne+Nagel, a global transport and logistics company, and Allianz Partners, specializing in rescue, insurance, and digital solutions, to provide logistics, warehousing, and insurance services.
Since 2001, Changan Auto has established ties with Europe, setting up a representative office in Turin, Italy. In September 2024, Changan further expanded its presence by establishing a subsidiary in Munich, Germany, responsible for sales, technical certification, and localized product development. Zhu said that Changan Auto’s global R&D network has expanded to ten locations across six countries.
According to Changan Auto, the company achieved global sales of 2.683 million units in 2024, marking a 5.1% year-on-year increase. New energy vehicle sales reached 735,000 units, growing 52.8% year-on-year. Zhu added that 2025, Changan Auto aims to reach 3 million global sales, with 1 million being electrified vehicles.
