Chongqing - On March 21, a JSQ train loaded with 200 Changan automobiles, including models such as the third-generation Yuexiang, Yida, and the new CS35PLUS, set off from Chongqing Yuzui Station.
The train will travel via the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor (ILSTC) to Qinzhou Port in Guangxi before being shipped to Jebel Ali Port in Dubai, UAE, through a roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) ship.
ILSTC, a key logistics and economic artery connecting central and western China to the world, has pioneered the intermodal transport model combining JSQ double-decker freight train with marine RoRo shipping. This model offers a more competitive logistics solution for China's automobile exports to markets in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and beyond. It also provides a replicable model for future new energy vehicle exports.

The JSQ train is a specialized freight solution for automobile transport. Its two-level structure maximizes space for high-density loading. With the surge in automobile exports, the use of JSQ trains has seen significant growth in recent years.
According to the Fuling Section of China Railway Chengdu Group Co., Ltd, the new logistics solution improves transport efficiency by 10-15% and reduces costs by over 8% compared to traditional shipping methods. Integrating JSQ cars with RoRo vessels streamlines the process, ensuring faster loading and unloading with reduced transportation costs and risks.

"This shipment boosts the efficiency of railway-sea intermodal vehicle exports and expands the services of ILSTC," said Deng Qian, assistant general manager of New Land-Sea Corridor Operation Co., Ltd. "We will continue to enhance the multimodal transport network, offering better routes and innovative services to more companies."
Li Yan, deputy director of the Port and Logistics Office of Chongqing Municipal People's Government, emphasized the importance of this new logistics model. "By integrating railroad JSQ trains with RoRo ships, we've achieved seamless railroad and sea transportation for commodity cars. This is the result of close collaboration between Chongqing and Guangxi, optimizing resources to reduce costs and improve efficiency," said Li.
