Chongqing - On March 20, Huawei and Seres unveiled the Aito M9 2025 Edition, the latest version of their popular luxury SUV. This marks the third model in the Aito lineup, following the M5 and M7.
For 11 consecutive months, the Aito M9 has led China’s luxury car market for vehicles priced above 500,000 yuan (69,016.5 USD), cementing its place as the top-selling luxury vehicle in this segment.

The Aito M9 2025 Edition now comes with enhancements designed for off-road enthusiasts. At the launch event, Richard Yu, Chairman of Huawei’s Intelligent Automotive Solution BU, introduced the integration of the new model with Huawei’s Xinghe Communication System, ensuring drivers stay connected with a stable signal, regardless of terrain.
Yu explained that in areas like western Sichuan or underground parking lots, where signals from carriers like China Mobile and China Telecom can fluctuate, the system intelligently detects the strongest available network and quickly switches to it, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity.
When driving through remote areas with no cellular coverage, the vehicle’s distributed in-car satellite communication system enables continuous connectivity. The satellite network can even be shared with mobile devices within a 30-meter range, providing crucial support for outdoor exploration and emergencies.
In terms of intelligent driving, the Aito M9 2025 Edition has undergone significant upgrades with the integration of the Huawei ADS 3.3 autonomous driving system. It now features three high-precision solid-state LiDARs and five upgraded 4D millimeter-wave radars.
ADS 3.3 enhances the vehicle’s autonomous driving experience, enabling seamless parking from one space to another while navigating complex environments such as toll gates, roundabouts, and ETC lanes. The system continuously learns and evolves, making driving more convenient.
A demonstration video at the event highlighted the upgraded valet parking feature, where the vehicle autonomously moved from the first floor of a parking garage to a designated spot on the seventh floor after the driver exited. Yu also revealed that the entire Aito M9 lineup will receive an upgrade to Huawei ADS 4.0 in Q3 2025.

The Aito M9 2025 Edition is available in five-seat and six-seat configurations, with seven variants priced between 469,800 yuan and 569,800 yuan.
Additionally, Yu shared updates on the highly anticipated Aito M8, revealing that pre-orders had reached 70,000 units as of the launch event. Positioned as a full-size flagship SUV for families, the Aito M8 is set for an official release in April.
Beyond Aito, Yu emphasized Huawei's broader intelligent automotive strategy through the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA). This strategy includes collaborations with Chery, BAIC, and JAC to develop the Luxeed, Stelato, and Maextro series. As of March 19, total deliveries within the HIMA lineup had reached 680,000 units.
